Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza, born on June 26, 1984, is a stand-up comedian and actor recognized for her witty sense of humor. She appears as April Ludgate in Parks and Recreation. It was on the Jeannie Tate Show that she launched her own web-based show, following a sketch comedy show or improvised material, as well as other forms of improvisation at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza. She continued her career with guest appearances in Funny People by Judd Apatow and Scott Pilgrim and vs. World. Her birth should be celebrated this day. Aubrey Christina Plaza was born in Wilmington Delaware the daughter of attorney Bernadette Plaza and Financial expert David Plaza. Her mother is Irish, English and Irish while her father is Puerto Rican. Plaza graduated from an Catholic all-girls high school in 2002. She then attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in the year 2006. While she was a senior in high school, Plaza participated at Wilmington Drama League shows and held the position of president for the student body. In 2004 while she was at the end of her second year in college Plaza was struck by a stroke, which resulted in her being diagnosed with expressive aphasia and a period of paralysis. Her recovery is complete. Plaza has performed improv comedy as well as sketches at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater since 2004. The Laugh Factory as well The Improv are two venues in N.Y.C. where Plaza performed stand-up comedy. Plaza appeared in the role of Robin Gibney in E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street, The Jeannie Tate Show and in the premiere episode of Terrible Decisions starring Ben Schwartz. In CollegeHumor Troopers she played an satirical character from science fiction called the Princess. Plaza first made her appearance as a saxophonist with the band Cassorla's Bona Fide. She first appeared in Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings in 2012. In 2012, as Hawaiian Coffee, she appeared on the HarmonQuest show HarmonQuest 2016 as a Gnome. In the that same year she also played Aaron Burr on Drunk History and Cat Adams during Season 11 C.B.S. television series Criminal Minds. In Season 12, she made a successful comeback in the part.
